A Very Tough Work Week

In the words of Ricci Riccardo... Ei...yie...yie...!!! what a week. It's been an exhausting week at work, too many e-mails, too many appointments... too many charts-documents-folders-binders-forms all needing my constant attention! I'm glad the week is over and I get to have a long weekend before the frenzy begins again! For me, this year, happy Independace Day, means independance from my desk... yippee!!

Happy Birthday to me!!!

Hi Everyone,
Okay, well my birthday is in May, so this is a belated welcome, but... Welcome anyway!!! Mr. Socks and I have been friends for quite awhile, and he has had some fabulous adventures travelling with the Fam... Playing tricks on John and teasing the dog (More on this later), but on my birthday this year, we welcomed a new and colorful addition to the craziness... Stripes!!! I bet you can guess who's who :) Here's some photos of the big day... Mr. Socks and Stripes getting aquainted, posing for pics and checking out my fabric stash!

Great Quote

Hey, I read this quote yesterday in a devotion that a friend of mine at work sends me daily. It's been percolating in my mind and heart and I just wanted to share.... "It is not the greatness of my faith that moves mountains, but my faith in the greatness of God!" The faith of a mustard seed -Matthew 17:20

My Very First Blog Posting

Hi, this is my very first attemp at posting on my blog. This was a picture that I took in Napa Valley on our 10th anniversary trip to San Fracisco. I remember that this rose looked just like this... like it was on fire! Very pretty. We noticed at the vineyards that roses were often planted in and amongst the vines, or more often at the end of a row. I've heard that roses and grape vines both like "dry feet" that is they grow best in soil that drains well.
